Miss P’s Unspoken Rule #21: Never date fathers of students.

Brooke Prescott’s newest second grader, Leah, is turning her classroom upside down. But when Brooke calls in the girl’s parents, she’s hit with a surprise—Leah’s father, Ryker, is a recently retired military officer who moved home to give his daughter the family she’s lost after her mother died.

Leah is struggling. Brooke wants to help. Ryker is grateful… and very, very interested. There’s just one problem—he’s sworn off dating until his daughter is doing better emotionally. And Brooke’s Unspoken Rule #21 is there for a reason—teacher life is complicated enough without falling for a student’s dad.

But Christmas has a way of tangling tinsel, breaking rules, and nudging perfect people together—these three, especially. As sparks fly and obstacles grow, Brooke and Ryker must decide.

Stick to the rules? Or admit that some rules are made to be broken?

Another sweet Christmas Street story.

This one is both heartwarming and gut wrenching.Sometimes it takes someone who also has issues, to help work through your own.Brooke's foster child past makes her have a hard time believing in love, for herself anyway.Ryker is a widower who's wife died in a car crash, because she was out cheating on him while he was on deployment.Leah is Ryker's darling little girl who happens be in Brooke's class. Who is acting up at school.Problems bring these three together, but it is up to the magic of Christmas Street, and forgiveness to make everything work.

So close

I really enjoyed most of this book. But the resolution seemed off after the h problems with fear from her background. It was too easy on her part.

Cute

A very fun read. A bit shorter than I thought it would be. A few his and her mix up that confused a bit but a fun and delightful quick read. So happy for Brooks happy ending this story could have had so much more meat to it, but I always enjoy any book that Heather writes!
