Part 3 of a very engaging trilogy

This series was hard to put down. The characters are developed and the writing strong. A good story well told sells itself. I am glad that I read the books in order, and would recommend that others do too.

I little bit darker than the previous books

...but is only understandable given the time it is set on. Blood and battles, feuds etc, I wonder if the highlanders ever knew the word peace. So, I must warn you that on this final book you will experience some loses, it felt a little sad but at least there is a happy ending with the main characters. It is a well written story, and the author tried to keep true to the period while also giving a satisfying ending.

I’m sad to see this trilogy end

Oh my goodness! This was an amazing ending to a superbly written trilogy. I adored how the story evolved and we got to see the development of all the characters. They are so good I can’t pick a favorite! You must read them all-you’ll fall in love with each couple. And I seriously need to visit Scotland-Ms Stockton brings her stories to life and I felt like Scotland was in my backyard as I read. Excellent trilogy!!!Disclosure statement:I receive complimentary books for review from publishers, publicists, and/or authors, including Netgalley. I am not required to write positive reviews. Has made the all-time fav list

When only a loch separates feuding clans, there is little to stop the imminent war. But the small body of water also doesn’t prevent a chance encounter between Miles Duncun, the laird of Dulnain, and Ealann McEwan. When he finds her swimming in the loch, Miles believes her a selkie, and soon an easy friendship develops between them.As the feud draws toward war, the added presence of the Redcoats and Duncan clan leader does nothing to douse the building flames, and a meeting to discuss peace results in a hostage situation and attack from the the Duncan side.Struggling against his duty to his clan leader and growing affection for Ealann, Miles does everything he can to protect her and prevent all out war.OH. MY. GOSH. If you have not started this series, you must just to read this book. Seriously. It is SO SO good!! The perfect balance of action and romance. I am so attached to all these characters and let me tell you, I BAWLED. I wanted to throw the book at the wall (the good kind of throw 😂). For real. Have tissues and ice cream on hand. I loved Ealann and Miles. I’ve been anxiously awaiting their story and was not disappointed. They are adorable and the banter and the KISSES. Oh my the KISSES. ❤️❤️ absolute perfection, the whole thing. 10 billion stars ⭐️ one of my favorite books ever

clean historic romance

Awesome book and trilogy!Tales of intrigue, deception, feuds and love.Great characters and strong plot line kept me reading to see what happened next and how it all would resolve. There are plenty of good and bad characters that are either easily cheered for or jeered for. The romance is sweet and stirring.I highly recommend these book and it is best to read all three to get the full story.
