Sometimes a person has to go to the ends of the earth—or at least Hollywood—to save their brother’s life.

There are certain things I refuse to think about. Losing my little brother Jeremy to cancer is at the top of that list.

So if his biggest wish is to meet Teen Robin Hood before a major surgery, then I’m making it happen.

Unfortunately, Steve Raleigh—the actor behind the bow and arrows—is one of those hot, arrogant, and unreachable celebrities.

In order to meet him, I’ve got to take a road trip to Hollywood, commit a few minor felonies, and sneak onto a studio lot. I may or may not end up in an episode of Teen Robin Hood dressed in a medieval nun’s costume. I regret nothing.

Steve is less than thrilled at being dragged into my plans.

Good thing I know how to be persuasive.

I wasn’t expecting sparks to fly between us or to spend time pretending to be his girlfriend. And the kisses we share—doubly unexpected. I wasn’t supposed to catch feelings for Hollywood’s favorite heartthrob. But I stopped doing “supposed to” the second I left for California.

Seriously. Janette Rallison is one of my favorite authors and this book will make you laugh and cry! So so good!

Quite entertaining

１７歳のAnnikaは６歳の弟Jeremyのガンの手術を目前に、弟を励ますため自分には特別に必ず叶う３つの願いごとができ、残りの２つをJeremyにあげると言い信じさせる。最後の１つは手術の成功のために、そしてもちろんもう１つはJeremyがずっと欲しがっていたTeen Robin Food（TVシリーズ）のフィギュア（苦労して手に入れた）を言うものと確信してでの発言だったが、なんとJeremyは本物のRobin Foodに弓矢を教えてもらいたいと言い・・・Annikaは弟のために何としてでもRobin Food（演じる１９歳の俳優Steve Raleigh)を連れて戻ると決意し、NevadaからCaliforniaの撮影現場まで車で４時間かけて会いに行く。Steveを連れて帰れればきっとJeremyの手術も成功するはずと、弟を助けたい一心で変装したり、スタジオに潜りこんでエキストラになったりと行動的で、その間にも電話でJeremyに物語を作って聞かせたり、Steveとその家族との問題を心配したり（一応元彼女との事も）とAnnikaは本当に魅力的で、Steveが惹かれるのも納得！切ないし、笑えるし、泣ける。かわいいJeremy・・・

What a story

This story is humorous, heart breaking and thoroughly enjoyable. The characters made me laugh out loud and the situations she got herself into even more so. But in the end the book touched on a sensitive subject as well which pulled on the heart strings. Anyone would enjoy this book.

“Just one wish“ ist ein wunderbarer Roman.Der Humor von Janette Rallison ist einfach der Hammer.Trotzdem gelingt es ihr, dass die Romantik nicht zu kurz kommtUnd der Roman auch ernste und berührende Momente bietet.Die Charaktere sind durchweg sympathisch, so dass ich sie alle schnell ins Herz geschlossen habe. Annika ist eine tolle Protagonistin, weil sie einfach nie aufgibt und so eine starke Persönlichkeiten hat, auch wenn sie manchmal unsicher ist und verzweifelt.Also klare Kaufempfehlung, da der Roman alles bietet, was das Herz begehrt! Ich empfehle auch ihre Bücher “My fair godmother“ und “My unfair godmother“ zu lesen, wenn euch “just one wish“ gefallen hat ;)
