Katherine Fox loves working for the small-town newspaper. She even has her own quirky column. But when Damian Warren, the handsome billionaire and owner of the newspaper shows up looking to shut them down, she decides this means war. She creates a fake profile on a dating website to befriend him and get the inside scoop. Damian just wants to find out why his father bought the small newspaper years ago, and why he kept it on the books. Then, he can finally get the poor-performing business off his spreadsheets. He didn’t expect to fall for the feisty secretary. Too bad she’d never leave her beloved small town. His business was in New York. Things between them couldn’t possibly work. This is a sweet romance. All books in this series are stand-alone novels and can be read in any order.

Thank you, Vicky(can I call you that?), for making these books come alive. I find myself so engrossed in the books that I’m shouting at the characters. These are good, clean romance novels. I truly love them. Keep them coming!

Good story

Both the main characters were guarded. They ran hot and cold, but with reason. Their relationship couldn't go anywhere--he's big city and she's small town. Hearts don't listen to reason....

(And thank God for friends that kick you in the butt to get you to open your eyes and recognize what's in front of you.)

Light and clean romance

Victoria's Lieske did it again! What an amazingly romantic book with sassy, fun interactions between the two main characters. No one writes meltingly romantic kisses like Ms. Lieske. Need I say more?

Ok. I'll say more, just for good measure. Very good plot with believable reasons for romantic tension. Well-edited and proofed. Talented writer. I never hesitate to buy a book by Ms. Lieske

Nice but some issues

Ok so I absolutely love the banter between kat and hillary. That was the best part of this book. Kat's spunk was great, but i felt that her character was more shaky and inconsistent than the main characters of the previous books. And i just hate how Damien called her "sweet kat"...what up with the cringe worthy phrase? The last issue is really an issue with the whole series in general - the series is great, so why are all the books named with trashy (non relevant!) titles? And why do all the covers make it look like these are some trashy soft porn romance novels? Because they're not. They're nice and clean, yet romantic.
