The Grant Us Grace Series origin story of beloved couple, Matt & Laura.

Hairstylists and best friends set out to open their own salon. Will falling in love end up in their business plan?

Laura Willis is busy planning her wedding to Ryan when she catches him cheating. Again. This time with her best friend. She throws her fist, and her ring, in his face and immerses herself in work at Brenda's House of Hair. But the salon is awash in drama too as Brenda cuts corners and goes on a rampage.

Laura’s coworker hairstylist, Matt Stephenson, is searching for other employment options and a new place to live. Deciding to take a risk, he determines to open his own salon and invites Laura to partner with him. Can their friendship survive the undertaking or will this joint venture be more than either of them bargained for?

Hmmm???

I have read a number of Elizabeth Maddrey's books and she is one of my top three Authors. Unfortunately for me this one was not one of my favourite. I learnt a bit more about the process of opening a hair dressing salon in comparison to enjoying a heart warning romantic novel. The two main characters seemed to remain best friends until the last chapter where they took huge leap from that to being engaged. Nothing romantic seemed to happen apart from a mention from time to time about their hidden feelings. That said there were some pertinent topics like forgiveness and stereotyping that the author dealt with.My feelings towards this book will not stop me from me reading other titles by Elizabeth Maddrey as many of her other books are testament to the fact that she is a good author

Happily Ever After

Loved following these imperfect characters striving for healthy relationships while dealing with reality of disappointments and challenges of life. Sometimes we have to lose something we think we want to get something better. Highly recommend.

Great friendship

Fun, sweet story about lasting friendship and fresh starts, this is a light, quick read with characters I loved and characters I loved to hate. The plot is a bit predictable but the conclusion is swoon worthy and creative. Matt is a thoughtful, kind and trustworthy friend. He is a steady, compassionate, shoulder to lean on when Laura’s world comes crashing down around her. “…it was good he didn’t try to use his charisma for evil.” Filled with dramatic scenes and quirky guest stars such as June and July, I recommend this great break up story to girl friends everywhere.

Some times what you're looking for is right in front of your face...

Another great story but I wish I would have read it in the beginning because once you've read the other books...it's kind of a let down because you already know what is going to happen with them...but still was a great series!!!
