Spinster is as spinster does...

Georgiana Allen is a spinster and everybody knows it. She also happens to be one of the writers for the Spinster Chronicles, and everybody knows that as well. She’s accepted her lot in life, and, along with the other spinsters in her circle, takes great pride in the articles she writes and the influence she has. Then Captain Anthony Sterling infiltrates their group, and her life, and Georgie impossibly begins to hope once more.

Tony Sterling had no idea what to expect when he agreed to break up the Spinsters for his cousin, but he certainly did not expect Georgie Allen. From the very first meeting, she upends everything he thought a spinster would be, and her beauty and wit keeps him on edge in thrilling ways. The more he gets to know the Spinsters, the less he wants to break them up. And the more he wants Georgie in his life. Permanently.

Editorial Reviews

"Clean romance, all the delightfully inappropriate chemistry for this day and age, fun family interactions, older ladies with no filter, and you have a great story that will make you smile. Definitely worth checking out."

Wonderful story

I really enjoyed this book. I found it to be well written; the dialogue was humorous and delightful. But what impressed me the most was the deep-felt emotions expressed by the characters. They were deeply honest, realistic and touching. And I greatly enjoyed the humour; it was a thoroughly enjoyable read. And it contained very few typos … I do so appreciate that!

Love the wit.

I chose this rating because as always, I thoroughly enjoyed this authors work.My one concern is that now there are two series to follow with the one author which means I have to wait longer for the next in each. So disappointed about that."London league" and "The spinster chronicles".I thoroughly recommend reading both series along with the "Arrangement" series.Well done, but I hate waiting😉

A sweet story that helps us see the perspective of unmarried women of that time.

Lovely story and very engaging. I am looking forward to see how the rest of the characters fare! I have enjoyed Rebecca Connolly’s writing for some time and I am happy to have more of it.

So stupid

The first chapter hast so much potential, and then, it just gets soooo stupid. The reason Tony engages with the spinsters absolut stupid, that they are just letting him hang around because he, a complete stranger, asks is just stupid, Georgie complaining and being bitter is weird. Her being attracted, him being fascinated makes no sense. I could not finish. But might be a good read if someone loves fluff
