A fae on a mission to protect his people.

A human girl on the brink of death.

With a sentient tail and cat-like eyes, Gulliver O’Shea has always been different, and everyone can see it. Except for his best friend, the queen of Iskalt. She treats him like he matters. So, when she says jump, he flies. And when she asks him to travel through a portal to a strange human city and gather information on a dangerous group attacking fae, he… reluctantly realizes he has no choice.

He just didn’t expect he would have to bring along a sullen Toby—lost after the death of his intended—or that New Orleans would be so much more frightening than the small human farm he was used to visiting.

Gulliver’s obsession with everything human brings him face to face with a girl unlike any he’s ever met before. Sophie-Ann Devereaux. She’s kind and clumsy and… sick. So sick he knows her frail human body won’t last much longer.

The closer he gets to the humans behind the fae attacks, the more he realizes what he’s done. He’s failed Tia. Lost his mission. Become as useless as he always feared he was. Because the waitress, the one fading from this world, isn’t just a random human girl. Her father is the man Gullie was sent to find. Together with his second in command, they intend to erase the fae from their world. And they’ll resort to any means necessary to see it done.

About the Author

I'm a USA Today Bestselling author of fantasy, contemporary romance, and romantic comedies. Fantasy was my first and forever love with the bestselling "Golden Curse". I love taking old stories and turning them around until they're almost unrecognizable except to the most avid fans. I write books to challenge myself, tackling hard topics or places so different from my own. Studying ancient cultures, architecture, and folklore is one of the best parts of being an author.I've written more than seventy stories full of magic, love, and friendship, and at thirty-three, have no plans to ever stop.

My hopes were too high

I've been thoroughly enjoying this series, but the tone of this book has changed dramatically. It's like going from a young adult series to something written for 'tweens. The story was decent enough, it had some good moments, though I admittedly skipped over all of the pages of Griff and Gulliver breaking into the hospital. There was a good natural flow of dialogue in the previous books, but in this one (and the first two chapters of the next one so far) it's rather forced. And for a human meeting fae for the first time, most of Eavha's dialogue is way too much. All that to say, this book isn't necessary if you want to end on a good note with book 9.

Another fantastic read!

If you’ve read this series from the start, you will thoroughly enjoy this latest arc following beloved Gullie. It’s such a good read and full of adventure. I’m looking forward to continuing the story in the next book! Fantastic book!

I was quite sad starting this book. I feared it would be the ast adventure with these fabulous characters. However, nearing the end of the tale it became obvious the story would continue. So even if this is your first venture, there's much more to come!Gulliver is one of my very favorite characters. Now he's off on an adventure his own. Feeling inadequate and adrift in the human realm, can Gullie complete this mission for Queen Tia?

Love Gulliver and his travels!!

I couldn’t help myself, I had to know more about what went on next in the adventures of fae world. I’m so pleased they brought Gulliver back for more!Tierney fought to save the fae world from the fire plains taking over. Now, the humans are killing fae in the human realm. Who else would she trust to send besides her best friend that has been by her side through every dangerous situation that they embarked on. Not wanting to send him alone, she sent Toby along with him to help him. Their mission, find more information out to prevent the death of innocent people, fae and human alike.Sophie-Ann is the daughter of the man that is the head of an organization made to find and kill fae. Being forced into being a waitress at a cafe wasn’t on her list of goals in life, especially when she’s having a difficult time. Her mom died from a fae attack, making her hate the fae.I loved every second of this book! I couldn’t help but fall more in love with Gulliver’s character. I’m so happy that he has found someone to truly care and love. I really wish I could read more than just the one story since it’s probably a trilogy also but till next time! And that ending, you are going to flip a lid when you read it. I know I emotioned hardcore.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Loving Gullie's Story

Troubling news has reached Iskalt and Queen Tierney is convinced they must do something about it, even if the rest of the Royals are hesitant to get involved. Someone is targeting and killing Fae in the human realm. So who better to rely on for help than the only one she fully trusts, her best friend, Gulliver? On top of making him a council member, Tia sends Gullie with her grieving brother to New Orleans, Louisiana for more information to convince the other royals to help. While Gullie gets to know the city without being discovered as Fae he meets a human, Sophie-Ann, and falls in love with her. The trouble is, her father is the one targeting the Fae.I always enjoy going back to Iskalt, but going to the human realm with Gulliver is.... stressful to say the least. Especially when they're supposed to be discreet about their heritage. I enjoyed the new character of Sophie-Ann, but the rest of the humans we encounter are remarkably annoying and frustrating. There are some comical bits, especially with how dense Sophie kind of is considering who her father is. I don't know how much louder Gullie could scream Fae without admitting he's Fae. I look forward to the second installment of Gulliver's story and seeing what kind of trouble Toby has gotten himself into.
