Some people face their problems head-on, other people run...to England

When my ex-boyfriend sends me his wedding invitation eight months after breaking up with me, and the bride expects me to be in the wedding party, it's time for my tried-and-tested party trick: disappearing.

And nowhere is better to escape to than the cozy English Cotswolds in the middle of December.

Everything goes according to plan until I arrive in the Cotswolds. Snow is more slippery than I expected, my room is nothing like the listing described, and my pub owner landlord—well, he steps directly from my lumberjack fantasies and into my heart.

The only problem? I can't fall for an Englishman who lives on the other side of the world from me. Not even one who has Dr Pepper on tap and kisses like it's an Olympic sport. It's much harder to run across the pond, and all good things must come to an end . . . but what if I can't say goodbye?

The Coziest Holiday Romance!

This book is the definition of cozy! Escaping the upcoming wedding of her best friend and ex-boyfriend, Luna runs to Snowshill, a small Cotswolds village, for a solo holiday trip.I immediately fell in love with The Wild Hare pub ambience, village rivalries, and Showshill locals. But especially the lumberjack, flannel-wearing pub owner, Rhys Norland. He was such a genuine, levelheaded guy. I loved his expertise in the kitchen and sly retorts that hinted at his growing attraction towards Luna.Luna was great, too! A lover of yoga, Dr. Pepper, and Cadbury chocolate, her inner dialogue made me chuckle often. With a very complicated dilemma waiting for her back home, I loved seeing her unexpectedly discover a place of happiness and fulfillment in the meantime. She makes a decision I likely wouldn't do, but I have to applaud her ability to forgive. And Rhys was so wonderfully understanding along the way, having his own emotional baggage to unpack. This was a delightful finale to the Christmas Escape series!

This book and this series are my happy every after.

I’ve never had such heart warming, giddy and just happiness reading a series and this book just tops it off.The warmth, the magical Christmas feel and the found family are all you need to have an amazing Christmas romcom. I also love the constant comparisons made to hallmark movies to top it off.

Lovely read!

This was a really sweet book with lots of perfect Christmas vibes. It's about two MCs who are dealing with trauma from their past relationships (aka their previous partners left them for another person, in different ways/degrees of hurt), and the MCs are at different stages of healing from the hurt. What follows is a slow but hopeful story of them getting to know each other and moving into a very wholesome relationship, and I totally loved that!Other small things I loved - the rivalry between the towns (and the ensuing shenanigans XD), the Christmas decorations (!!), the sense of communityTWs - cheating, divorce, issues with pregnancy due to stress (mentioned over a conversation)

Could NOT connect with the main character

The setting was cozy and happy, the English pub owner totally likable and sweet, but the main character was not someone I could get on board with. From the start she seemed entitled and snarky with little to recommend her. I could not see why anyone would ever fall for her. She became a better friend as the book progressed, but was so self centered ultimately. Not my favorite Kasey Stockton book

wonderful

I really enjoyed this story. It was fun to see how their relationship grew, even though it was such a short time. And I loved the maturity that both of them showed at the end.
