When sparks fly and secrets collide, Isla Adams and Jake Moody must decide if their fake marriage could turn into something real.

Isla’s only in town for one day to seal a big deal for her clothing company. But after running into Jake—an irresistibly handsome man framed for a crime and on the run from the FBI—her carefully planned day takes a wild turn. Against her better judgment, Isla agrees to help him, feeling an unexpected connection.

When a misunderstanding leaves Isla needing a fake husband, Jake is the perfect solution. He can hide in plain sight, and she can move forward with her business. But the more time they spend together, the more real their chemistry feels. Isla’s never felt so understood, and Jake realizes that life has been passing him by without someone like Isla.

As the FBI closes in, they’re running out of time to figure out if this connection is just a fleeting spark—or the start of something more.

Delightful

I don't often come across books that feature main characters with a disability, so I was really excited for this one when I came across it. It did not disappoint, except that it ended all too soon <3.This has to be the sweetest book I've read all year. Absolutely delightful main characters, reflecting the kind of acceptance of diversity of ability that I wish we could see more often in real life. One that I'll definitely read again for the warm fuzzies.

Charming

Whew I read “She Likes It, Hey Micah,” I fell in love with the supporting character of “Kale.” He was insightful, incredibly quirky, yoga-loving landlord to the super-uptight and despondent Fischer. I was hoping he would get his own story and, lo and behold, Ms LeCheminant acknowledged my unspoken desire. 🙂 Isla, the female protagonist, is so sunny and perfect for the MMC. Their love story was unconventional and swift, yet it worked well for this reader. Check out this story.

Jake & Isla

I absolutely loved this book and have already put it on my favorite for the year list 🩵 it is such a fun read and the most perfect bridge between the two series🙌🏻. While this is a prequel to the Love in Sun City series, I’m so glad I read after Micah’s book…it just made it so much more fun! Jake & Isla are adorable and I loved their instalove/perfect for each other relationship💜

A Sweet and Swoony Romcom Novella Adventure!

If you are looking for a fast-paced novella with all the swoon and adventure you could want, pick this one up. Dana Lecheminant does a fantastic job at character development in this novella. You have a beloved side character from her Wonder Boys series and Jake who everyone loves from her newest series, Love in Sun City.Oh, how I love the way she brings these characters together, and to life, in this sweet and swoony rom com novella. Love the representation of prosthetics, the movie references, cameos from the characters we all love in the series mentioned before. And the chemistry, that is spot on, instant and oh so swoon. Seriously, I can't speak highly enough about this story. Dana Lecheminant is just killing it with her new series and this story, in novella form, is the cherry on top.Snag it free by signing up in Dana's newsletter! But also, I think you'll want it in paperback form as well. I did and it is so much fun to have on my bookshelf!
